Privacy

We don't sell data or show personalised ads. This is everything the site uses and why.

Visit analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to know how many people read the site, from which country and device, and which pages work. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies; Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. We don't link that data to your identity. If ad personalization is on in your Google account, Google Analytics also shows us aggregated age, gender and interest data (Google Signals): we only see totals, never per person, and we don't use it for advertising.

We also count reads per story with our own signal: a read is a story open for at least 10 seconds, once per session. We store only the count per story and day, with no data about the reader, and it is deleted after 9 days.

What is stored in your browser

  • The country you pick in the schedule, to show times in your zone.
  • The leagues you mark as favourites in the menu.
  • Your recent searches.
  • Whether you already voted in the poll, so your vote isn't counted twice.

All of that stays on your device (browser local storage) and is not sent to any server. You can clear it from your browser settings.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email is stored by Beehiiv, the service we use to send the newsletter, along with the language, the page of the site where you signed up and, if it was a “where to watch” page, that match's competition (so we can send it in your language and with what you follow). We only use it to send you the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from any issue.

Match calendar

If you subscribe to a national team, club or league calendar, we don't ask you for any data: your calendar app (Google, Apple, Outlook) fetches the same public address with the matches every few hours, like any visit to the site. We don't know who is subscribed. With the analytics above we only count how many times the subscribe button is tapped. To unsubscribe, remove the calendar from your app.
